Progress Expands in Kutaisi - American Advanced Elementary School Opens!
Progress American Schools continues its ongoing development. This September, a second campus opens in Kutaisi - an enhanced early and elementary education school based on American standards, designed for students aged 3-9 (K-Year 4 model).
The American Advanced Elementary School represents a fully integrated, modern and innovative educational environment. The school operates in accordance with American educational standards and encompasses both preschool and elementary levels within a unified academic concept and space.
Academic Model
The school's program is structured according to sequential stages:
- Preschool (ages 3-5) - early development stage, focused on socialization and school readiness through play-based learning.
- Kindergarten (ages 5-6) - preparation for school, development of foundational academic skills and strengthening of interest in learning.
- Grade 1 (Y1) - adaptation stage, with English language integrated across STEM subjects.
- Grades 2-4 (Y2-Y4) - stage focused on developing academic knowledge, critical thinking and practical skills.
- Grade 5 (Y5) - stage of independent thinking, project-based work and introduction to the foundations of entrepreneurship.
The academic process integrates English-language, integrated STEM (science, technology, engineering, robotics, IT, mathematics) and project-based multilingual instruction. These components are embedded within the standard curriculum and aim to develop critical and creative thinking from an early age.
The campus will be housed in a 4-story building and will include learning environments meeting both child-centered and international standards, technology and research laboratories, outdoor recreational spaces, indoor and outdoor sports halls, as well as business, entrepreneurship, chess and arts workshops. Construction is currently in its active phase, with the opening scheduled for September 2026.
Progress's main campus continues to operate under the High School model. As the fourth campus of Progress American Schools and the second within a single city, the combination of both campuses provides an uninterrupted educational pathway from preschool age through to the completion of full general secondary education.
