Progress Students at NASA
Team “Marine Guard” is heading to the USA to attend NASA’s Space Center Summer School! As the first-place winners of the Millennium Innovations Competition, they have secured the grand prize!
The “Marine Guard” project is an innovative unmanned boat designed to monitor marine waters for oil spills and automatically clean them using special filters.
The winning team consists of students from Progress STEM Academy (Kutaisi), St. Alexi Shushania Orthodox School-Gymnasium, Skhivi School, and Kutaisi Physics-Mathematics School No. 41.
Team “Starfish” will participate in Stanford University’s (USA) “iD Tech” technology camp with funding from GITA • Tech Park, the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency.
Students from American International School Progress (Batumi), Batumi Physics-Mathematics Public School No. 6, and Batumi St. Andrew the First-Called School developed a smart, eco-friendly fish farm.
Team “BEES” was selected as the best team by the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – “Sakpatenti”! The students created a device that introduces an innovative method for collecting bee venom. The team members are students from American International School Progress (Tbilisi & Kutaisi) STEM Academy, St. Alexi Shushania Orthodox School-Gymnasium, and Vladimir Komarov Public School No. 199 in Tbilisi.
