English Reading Club
The English Reading Club aims to elevate students' literacy skills, enhance their reading abilities, and spark interest and enthusiasm for reading. The main goal is for students to develop accurate reading techniques, logical reasoning, and analytical thinking while advancing their English reading skills to help them gain a broader and more enriched understanding of the world.
Club members:
- Read a variety of short, engaging works written in English throughout the year;
- Discuss characters and storylines, which helps sharpen analytical and critical thinking skills;
- Complete different exercises focused on text analysis and comprehension of content;
- Prepare presentations based on the readings, which contributes to developing confident public speaking skills.
During the club’s activities, participants:
- Discuss the texts, summarize key points, and share their reflections and viewpoints;
- Engage in thoughtful discussions that encourage understanding of diverse perspectives and help develop strong argumentation skills;
- Participate in a year-end reading competition, which focuses on previously studied works and aims to test and celebrate students’ reading achievements.
