A Model United Nations (MUN) conference was held at Progress in Batumi. In collaboration with the “UN Association - Georgia” and organized by the Progress Innovative and Non-Formal Education Service, students from all three Progress schools in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi worked for three days on the topic: “Rights, Safety, and Well-being of Displaced Persons.”
At the conference, delegates were awarded in various nominations:
Best Position Paper:
- Anano Kvinikadze (Kutaisi)
- Etuna Vekua (Tbilisi)
- Special Commendation:
- Keso Abuladze (Kutaisi)
- Mariam Tsirekidze (Kutaisi)
- Archil Lomashvili (Kutaisi)
- Best Delegate:
- David Osepashvili (Kutaisi)
- Lizi Lomsanidze (Batumi)
The Model United Nations conference is an identical simulation of the activities of the United Nations. During the sessions, the delegates themselves become participants in processes through which globally significant issues are resolved.
